Also, I seem to remember a few posts here that referred to some faulty drip trays being convex instead of flat, that caused similar problems to what you are seeing.
Just another thing to check…😏
 
I analyzed my Timberline's drip system by pouring cups of water onto the drip tray and following the flow. Mine had the wrong angle on the front channel, causing grease puddling and burns, which I corrected with an insert. It's a good idea to check ones grill to be sure that things are right.

That had to travel around your auger housing and everything, it's almost impossible for anything to get down there in a 575 unless you installed the drip tray backwards.
 
Depending on the level of the grill, grease may have just clung to the underbelly of the grill on the outside and run from left to right before dripping. Just a thought.
