Ironwood 885
Hi,

I have bought a new "old" Ironwood 885 recently and was trying to connect wifire, all goes sort off ok just very slow until I get to the end where the app says "in order to provision your grill we need to restart the app", app reloads and no grill is saved or showing up in the app.

System setup:
- Android tablet, android 10
- Google WiFi
- Bbq right next to Google WiFi

Considering traeger support is useless outside of the US I'm hoping someone here can give me a hand. Picture of the ironwood in question attached for reference.

Love to hear thoughts.

Gr.
Koen

Thx, I've tried all of them before I posted here, they're all focussed on the use case with the new controller as the previous gen seems to be somewhat erased from existence at traeger, also none have given me a solution also tried with our iOS devices, same result.

Seems very odd I got through the setup after realizing on my S10 the app was just broken when it came to detecting networks, S3 tab, iPad Air & iPhone XR all get to the same point, the "provisioning" screen even briefly showing the temp interface before the app restarts with then 0 grills showing and the grill blinking unable to connect.

What I've tried additioninally thus far:
- Connecting to a none google wifi
- Connecting through phone hotspots forcing 2,4ghz
- Connecting through older hardware

You cannot it's just an info box that pops up that says, app need to "restart to complete provisioning, press ok" no other choice and if you don't click ok it restarts regardless and my grill starts flashing green wifi led at me where it was connected fine, showing up in my connected devices, before provisioning restart, it's the weirdest thing but I don't just want to accept, older grill no longer works as it's a 2019 model not from the stone ages :)

What firmware version does that grill have? Some older versions will not connect, and require a new controller, or sending a controller to Traeger to update.

Really a new controller? It's not likely you can easily replace the one I have, I'll see if there's even a way to see the firmware version but it's starting to feel like I should let go of the wifire thing, as shipping a controller to a US based company from Belgium and getting it back will cost too much and would probably take most of the bbq season leaving me stuck with a useless terras accessory for most of summer if even possible to begin with.
