Ideally there's an online app I can use from my desktop computer where I can just type my notes in, track a particular recipe as I try it multiple times with different ingredients, temps, cook times etc.

Does something *awesome* for this exist? I mean -- I *could* use notepad, but I'm hoping for something better.

Actually the FireBoard app have a great notes section and you get graphs of temps and you can attach pics. Dates, times, temps, pics, & notes, all in the app.. add your recipe to the notes sector each cook.

Wish I had a Fireboard too.
I've been keeping loose notes on the note app on my iPhone. It works well to track real time, gets a little hard to read through for next cook adjustments so I'm testing the "table" option in the app to see if it makes it easier to track and adjust. Here it is in case it may help you. I'm still trying to define headers and if it makes it any easier or not. Once you get the headers you want, just copy and paste it a few times for future cooks.

*smirk* if I only had a fireboard. :p

FireBoard is the greatest all around tool for Traeger smoking that you can get... The probes themselves PAY for the FireBoard in more successful smokes as apposes to wasted meat. Let alone the fact that it keeps track of everything you do if you set it up that way...
Timmy, RustyJake, RemE are real good at this.
Just browse thru the "What's for Dinner tonight?" thread and see them use the Fireboard to it's fullest!!!

If you have an android phone you can always try this from the Google Play Store
Smokin Log BBQ Journal
no idea if they have an apple version. There looks to be a free version you can try. It isn't on the computer, but maybe it'd run on an emulator on a PC

Just to give you an idea as to what the Fireboard can do. Here's a list of my cooks (sessions) with it so far.

You can select one to view or edit as needed. Here I selected First Brisket of 2021 and this is the Charts Page

Click on the NOTES section and you get this. You can add pics which get time stamped as well as notes to
what you are doing, recipe, etc.

These are screen shots from my iPhone. In addition to using your phone/tablet, you have complete web access that looks like this.

You can get as OCD as you want with this very cool product and app.

I would have to say smoking in general, it works great on all smokers!

For recipes and maintaining a running list of pictures/comments/notations/etc., I use Microsoft OneNote (works across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, FireOS, etc.) ... its a tool I use to track a lot of things, not just time spent on Traeger-related activities...

Wow, did not realize it does all that. Drooling at the app and the food!

Forgot about OneNote. I may use that while waiting in the dark ages here

I wholeheartedly agree with GrillMeister. An additional feature of the Fireboard is that it loads on the Apple watch...
