My Ironwood 885 continues to fail to ignite the pellets despite repeated hot rod replacements and a replacement D2 controller. I purchased it in December 2019, approximately seven years ago, and had no issues until early this year, when I replaced the firepot and decided to replace the hot rod at the same time. Since then, I have experienced recurring starting problems month after month. I have purchased approximately 8–10 hot rods without resolving the issue, and I have also replaced the D2 controller. Most recently, I received two new hot rods from Traeger (D2 Hot Rod Replacement Kit × 2), but the unit still fails to ignite the pellets. For comparison, I have owned a Traeger Pro 575 at my other residence for close to 10 years, and it still ignites and runs like a charm with its original OEM parts. I am getting a resistance reading of 5.0 ohms on the Ironwood 885 hot rod. Can anyone confirm whether this reading is within specification and help me determine why the unit continues to fail to ignite?
