We are getting ready to remodel our main bathroom next month, and I want to avoid the classic mistakes. For those of you who have done a remodel, what do you wish you had known before starting? Did your project stay on schedule, or did it drag on? Also curious whether you'd recommend hiring a general contractor or managing subcontractors yourself.
