High heat warning

Cooking steaks last night and noticed the temp dropping REAL fast. It said High heat warning. I had it set to 500 and that's about where it was. Anybody have an idea what that's about?

Cooking steaks last night and noticed the temp dropping REAL fast. It said High heat warning. I had it set to 500 and that's about where it was. Anybody have an idea what that's about?

I had that happen to me one time with burgers. They started a grease fire and the grill shut itself off. Hasn't happened again.
