Happy 4th to everyone in this Fine country. God Bless America!

Smoked brisket for 18hrs at 225 with bear mountain pecan to celebrate the occasion. Mustard binder, Jack Daniel’s steak seasoning, kosher salt, and black pepper. Throughout the cook consistently spritzed with 1/2 water 1/2 apple cider vinegar. First time doing a brisket with those pellets and I’d have to say they gave it a fantastic bark.

Happy Cookin.

The brisket looks amazing. I presume you did it without the "Texas crutch:. What a great way to celebrate with family and friends.

Thank you! When I pulled it to wrap i put it in a foil boat to preserve the bark and catch the drippings. Sometimes I do butcher paper and sometimes I do the foil boat. I did wrap 100% in foil when it was done to rest in the oven. So I guess I did a 1/2 Texas Crutch haha.

Love that bark!!!!

Thank you! People say pellet grills can’t get bark. I would have said that thing came off and offset if someone showed me that randomly.
