Grill
ironwood 650
I found this part when cleaning ashes in my Ironwood 650. What is it?

The grill goes through the ignition sequence and seems to hold a set temperature.

This is my first post here! thanks in advance

I’ve never seen something like that in a Traeger.

Wonder IF... it was something in the pellets??? MAYBE??? I work and agriculture and you can't believe what we find coming to the cotton gin from the field. It makes it through half the plant before anyone finds it... sometimes the hard way. Often a head scratcher of "how did that make it all the way to HERE?". Wonder if that came from the pellet making machinery and found its way through your grill.. Just a thought...

TxDuster. I am in agriculture too. When we harvest potatoes we get all sorts of foreign material on the grading line. Including live critters. How they survive through the harvest process with tons and soil and soil being handled is amazing. Mice, snakes, etc.

That is why I have posted this thread. The only hole I could find is the one where the internal probe enters the cooking chamber. I am thinking the grill electronics surely throw an error code if an essential sensor has gone AWOL.

That must be the receiver that connects to the Traeger satellite that the support dept. always talks about.

Ha, I will point it to the heavens. I will activate the signal.

Oh no! I now have attracted a murder of crows (maybe ravens). Not sure. I ran for cover.

Are you sure that's not the lift plug to your water bong???

Mine was missing one thumb screw that holds the HotPot/ignitor. Issue solved. They are sending me a brand new 620 to replace my 2 week old 620. Not because of the 1 missing screw. But another issue I found while cleaning the inside of the grill. A potential fire safety issue. Great customer service by the way.
