After owning Weber grills (charcoal/propane) for the last 35+ years I ended up purchasing the Silverton 620 grill at Costco on Tuesday of this week. Took an hour to to put together and another 20 minutes for the wiFire app and then seasoned it. Yesterday was my first time using it. Took it nice and easy on 3 whole chickens. All 3 came out perfect. Juicy and very tender. Leftovers for chicken tacos or quesadilla. So I have 2 issues from yesterday’s grilling. The meat probe and leakage. I used my ThermaWorks Dot on one of the chickens and the Traeger meat probe on another. Once my ThermoWorks probe hit 165 I check it on the other chicken with the Traeger probe and it was off 5-7 degrees. I assume an easy fix by calibrating the Traeger probe. I haven’t done that yet as I’m grilling baby back ribs at the moment. I’ll do the calibration after the ribs are done. So the leakage is on the back right side next to the rear caster. From the looks of it it looks like it’s the grease/sweat running on the units top side where the lid closes down on top of it. it runs down the back leg on to the ground. I know grease spills are common but is it normal for it to collect and run along the unit to the ground?
