I have been using either drip liners or heavy duty foil for all my cooks on my IW 850 since I purchased it. I just watch a Youtube of Malcomb Reed doing pulled pork on a Traeger grill and it didn't look like he had any liner in his really well used Traeger grill. Do anyone out there not bother with a liner? How do you clean up if that is the case?

You don’t have to use liners or foil , it just helps on clean up. Once or twice I didn’t use either, when done cooking just scrape it with a putty knife or use a grill brush to clean it.

I cover the Traeger drip pan with heavy duty foil and dispose the foil after each use. The Traeger liner will last over a month.

I just scrape the Traeger heavy foil liner with a plastic wide putty knife, just 15 seconds to get the big crusts off.
Only change the liner maybe once every 5-10 cooks.

I have a trager foil liner I leave on and then put 2-3 layers of heavy duty foil. Makes it super easy to just rip off a layer and have a clean drip tray without having to relayer every cook. If its too hard to clean, I am likely to leave it too long and I dont want that burnt grease smell on my food.
