Cleaned out the grill a couple weeks ago, new foil on the drip tray, scooped out all the dust, scarped the sides etc. Went to turn it on to make some bacon and it was dead. Thought it could have been the outlet, so I plugged it into another outlet, dead. Tested the outlets, both had power. Checked the grill power cord, plugged in tight. Talked to Traeger and they are sending a new power cord, which I don't believe is the problem., I think it is the controller. It's been two weeks still waiting for the cord. Has anyone had this issue? Anything I am missing? Thanks.

You're probably spot on with it being a dead controller or power supply. The power cable is a standard 3 prong nothing special cable. You probably have one around the house on another appliance/electronic you can use to test, if not your local store has them for a few bucks. '

Traeger customer service is frustrating. I picked up a new Ironwood 650 a few weeks back and the meat probe died (bad probe error) after 1 cook. Called them and explained and they ended up shipping the thermocoupler ambient probe instead. I'm hoping I never need customer service since I do overall like the grill.

You are spot on with the cord, standard 10 amp 125 volt cord. I had several laying around that matched. Tested it out, Ironwood is still dead. Frustrating part is I will have to go through the whole thing again with customer service and lose a couple more weeks without the use of my 14 month old grill.

I pulled the power supply out of the unit and it is dead. Next chore will be getting one from Traeger.

Did you check the fuse? I realize you have the IW 885 with the D2 controller and this video shows the analog style controller, but I'm pretty sure there is still a fuse on the D2

No fuse in this controller that I can see. I remember watching that video when the hot rod went out on my Lil Tex
