Connect to Traeger WI-FI

I can connect my Ironwood 650 to my home WI-FI and then to the app but is it possible to Connect my phone/app directly to the Traegers built in wifi if you have it out in the bush camping? Have tried and it says something is connected but its definitely not to my app.

Does your phone have the ability to create a WIFI hotspot? I am not a tech but I'm thinking that that would be how you would have to do it. Even then I am not sure it would work. It is a good question though.

Yea that's what I was thinking of trying next time using the wifes phone. Just wasn't sure if it was like my GMG grill and had its own wifi connection.
