Burnt ends

I was able to get a good deal on just the point of a brisket. I was going to make burnt ends. Should I make just the point as if it was a whole brisket, or do you think my cook times would be adjusted? Anyone ever smoke just the point?

I would find a recipe geared more towards burnt ends if you are only cooking the point. They are fattier so cook a little differently than the flat.
