I’d like to do burgers today. Does smoking for 30 min then seat at 450 till 160’ sound right?
 
30 minute smoke is about right. I finish mine on a super-hot pre-heated cast iron skillet to 165*F because I prefer crust over grill marks on my burgers. Sometimes, for fun, while the burgers are smoking, I will sauté some onions in said skillet, and near the end flambé with Kentucky bourbon.
