I am thinking of adding a Blackstone to the mix and I’m looking at the 22” Adventure.

Anyone have any experience with this model? My thinking is I can leave it up (and covered) when at home, and break it down to take camping.

I usually cook for 2-4 people and have a Pro 780, Weber Genesis and Weber kettle so this wouldn’t be my “primary” grill at all.

I love my Blackstones! I have a big one on my deck and use it for all kinds of good stuff. In turn I bought a 22" to bring with on camping trips. I like that one even more than my big one. I'm not sure if ours is an Adventure, but it's 22" and has a hood that makes it much more versatile. We ended up ditching our camping grill altogether and have used only the Blackstone for all camping meals for a couple of years now.

@Timmmer - is the small one pretty sturdy? I am looking at using this for both home and camping.

We use the model with side burner/fryer at our camp cabin... table top

EZ to pack and put away, EZ to hook up, did philli steak n cheese and deep fried onion rings at the same time... It was awesome.

The grill itself is great. Holding up perfectly even though it gets banged around going in and out of camper storage and potentially bouncing up and down on the road. The stand is a bit beat up but we don't treat it very well. It gets thrown in the back of the pickup bed and often times stuff gets thrown on top of it or falls over onto it. It's doing the job just fine, and probably would be in better condition under someone else's watch.

You are probably aware, but there are plenty of complaints out there about the grill rusting. I'm confident it's because people didn't season it right before the first use, and don't do the proper oiling after use or before storage. Our big one sits out on the deck year around. We do have a metal cover on it between uses and put a vinyl cover over the whole thing in winter. Our portable sits in a camper in our shed which isn't temperature controlled. That one obviously isn't exposed to to the weather but changes in temperature causes condensation. After every use I clean and rub it all over with a light coating of vegetable oil. Every fall I put a pretty liberal coating of oil all over it. Some people say you can't use certain vegetable oil but I've not had any problems.

Yeah, I read a lot about rust so glad you pointed that out. I’m still debating the size and how sturdy the stand is.

My plan is to basically keep it sitting next to the Traeger and two webers on a daily basis and then load in the truck for when we take the trailer out. I would make sure it’s seasoned and covered.

Ideally I’d go your route and buy two but not sure I want to spend the money now (well, I do but my wife thinks I have too many grills now as it is!).

I got to thinking about it and my Blackstone stand isn't beat up, it's a different portable table we also take in and out of the truck bed that has some dings and a bend in a bracket. The Blackstone stand gets just as much abuse and is fine so far.

The basic stand isn’t very sturdy and it collapsed on me when I was seasoning the top. I have the one where the legs extend straight down and stay in place with some cheap knobs. The stand with the wheels looks a lot better and more sturdy. The griddle itself works great though.

Bought it this morning. Walmart raised the price from $174 to $202 but I found one in stock (last one) that had the $174 sticker so they adjusted the price for me.

Now I am already wondering if I should have gotten the 28”!

Probably not since this will be smaller for camping. And I also have a Weber Q1200 and a Weber Smokey Joe so I will have plenty of grill space!

Thanks to all for the input.

I found out that mine is the 17'', not the 22''. So the stand is most likely different. Wish mine had the one with the wheels.

My stand doesn't have wheels either. I guess this will be OK although I saw a cart from Harbor Freight that I may buy for my "home stand" and then just use the other for the trailer.

Got a link to the cart you were looking at? I've been looking around for a better option than the stand it came with.
