app alarms are not functioning

I have a Traeger pro 575 purchased this summer. Overall it's working great and I rely on the app and the alarms. However over the last month I discovered the app won't alarm unless I'm logged into my phone and it's active. Meaning when the phone is in sleep mode I don't receive an alert. The minute I log into my android phone then the alarm sounds, for example timer is up or probe sensor has hit its mark. Well after the intended time. Any advice?
 
Make sure your notifications are turned on on your phone.
 
Thanks. I double checked that already. It was working up until last month and I have not changed any of the app settings. Do you think I should reload the app? Although I am apprehensive to mess with the app, it was not easy to set it up the first time
 
do you have any setting or APP that closes APPs running in the background?? I do but I have to chose it NOT to close the Traeger APP
When you are logged out, your phone might have the Traeger APP closed or locked
Did you have any phone software update recently?
 
I'm having this exact issue with my Ironwood 885 and Traeger app for Android on my Samsung S10+. Did you find a solution?
 
I have a Samsung 9. I found if my phone was on a "power saving " mode the alarms did not work.
 
If your phone is in power save mode, then you can add the Traeger app to the "apps that never sleep" list. Go to settings, battery and device care, battery, then background usage limits. Go to "never sleeping apps" and select the Traeger app.
