5 weeks out from owning an Ironwood 885

Hello all, I'm about to be an owner. Pretty sure I will have mine on 6/25 or 6/26. Why then you ask?

Because we move into our new home in Ponte Vedra, FL on 6/24! As part of our move, I got approval from SWMBO to get a new grill and I've decided on the Ironwood 885.

We leave Danbury, CT on 6/23 and drive down to the new place. I am likely to order my new baby from the Ace hardware less than a mile from the new house and arrange for it to be delivered on the Friday or Sat so I can do a burn in and get to grilling.

(No, I haven't told SWMBO about the timing of this plan)

Anyway, happy to have found this site and plan to spend what little time I'm not packing doing research and planning my first cook.

Yup. We used a POD when we moved. It worked out great. We had a few months in between when we sold our place in CT and when we closed on the place in FL. So they held the POD in their facility. Never realize how much stuff you have until it's time to move it all.

You'll like Academy Sports and Buc-ee's down here. Good places to find rubs, sauces, grilling tools, etc. They both carry the Meat Church, Hardcore Carnivore, and Meat Mitch brands. Many others as well.
