I just bought a portable grill. Bought a nice tri tip for Saturday family dinner. Read the online directions. Put it on smoke for 10 minutes then turned the heat to 225. Came out 5 minutes later the temp was at 350. Smoke pouring out. Turned it down to 185, came out 10 minutes later and the temp was at 135. The whole time I would get intermittent smoke pouring out of the traeger.
