Will Any of the Hopper Extenders Fit an Old-Style BBQ075

I have an old-style BBQ075. I want to get a hopper extender and was wondering if anyone has this version of the BBQ075 and tried attaching one of the extenders available on Amazon made for the square hoppers.

I have a BBQ 075 and it looks like a more modern pro 34 but the legs are straight and not angled. Where's your controller? I moved to a Savannah Stoker controller and can go 15 hours now at 225 on my small hopper. Plenty long to go overnight and not worry about it. That's in sub freezing temps too.

I just upgraded to a FireBoard drive. I haven't done an overnight cook on it, so I don't know how long a full batch of pellets will last. I guess I just got a case of upgrade fever.

I’ve been testing without food using my RFX gateway to measure temps. Yeah I’ve had upgradeitis and started dialing it back to only things that make a dramatic impact. I put gasket all around and then toggle clamps to hold the door closed. No light coming from inside smoker with door closed and clamped with light inside. I also used a second auger motor and put a pellet stir right above the auger feed since the model I have cones pellets and starves the auger.

Assuming you got their new controller that is made to upgrade some of the older grill models?Interested in how this install went for you. Wad the set up close to plug and play with the connectors they supplied? Did you document any of it, it's probably going to be something that someone would be asking in the future.

The setup really was plug and play. Detach the old controller and replace it with the the FireBoard Drive. I was originally going to screw it on with the supplied screws but at the last minute went with the magnet mount. The magnets are very strong and I like the easy access to the innards

Unfortunately the old 075 is built with a very small hopper area in comparison to the newer ones and the size of the hopper body. This would be a special build. How often would you need the extender?

I'm mostly looking to use it for over night cooks. I'm not as young as I used to be and I need more sleep.

With my old controller I would run out of pellets on very long cooks and stopped doing over nighters. Recently, I've been cooking for larger groups and need to make sure I can run the Traeger for longer amounts of time.

I have seen guys use a 12pack box as a temp extender. Not fancy by any means but works.
I have a similar issue with the small hopper on my 125. I just have to check pellets.
