Hi everyone, can I know which grill is best under budget of 1000$?. Traeger or Pit Boss? Your recommendations?

I have a T, as does everyone else here. No experience with Pit boss but happy with my Pro575. I have yet to need more space yet but I would prefer a bigger one

I have had my T for nearly 15 years now. It never let me down even once in all the years I have had it. I just bought a new control panel because I wanted meat probes on board instead of trying to guess were I put the hand held meat thermometer. In my mind there’s no question which one I would choose.

Century 885

Yep, I would agree. It's a lot of Traeger for the money, plus, since it is from Costco, if you get a lemon (and some folks do), you can take it back 9 months later and get a refund and buy another. This happened with my Century 22 and the new 22 has been working great for a few years now.

I bought a Silverton 640 from Costco. Took it back a week later for the Century.

There are number of grills but Traeger Pellet Grill TFB30KLF Tailgater 20 Grill, Black is recommended from side. I am using it from last 16 months and it is working fine till now. It is low budget grill and everyone can afford it. Here are main features of this grill
  • Worth every penny.
  • Portable.
  • Easy to use.
  • Solid temperature controls.

I don’t have any experience with pit boss, but I do love my Pro 780.

you are better to rely on your handheld, Traeger's meat probe is off enough for you to eat under cooked chicken

Sure, use it as a guide but you'll need to double check it every time

I was getting ready to buy a Rec Tec and ended up with a Traeger by chance (long story). I am happy with the 780 Pro I have but I have heard great things about Rec Tec and their build quality.
