Silverton 620
Silverton620 - bought 10-23 at costco . When I try and follow recipes on something it takes at least double the time to cook and sometimes more. In cooking a 4 lb. Chicken it took 3 hours just to get close to finish temp and that was bumping the temp to 475. Of course when i did that the paint in the hood bubbled and burnt. Traeger said it was my fault and i got the grill too hot and they would not honor the warranty.

So far a piece of crap I can take back to costco but the dang is very heavy and would require help to even get it in the truck

Very frustrated if it's me let me know if not what a waste of money

I had a Silverton 810 for about 3 months and it always had a temperature issue (So I got a FireBoard2) Traeger sent new Probes but it did not fix the issue. I took it back to Costco and had absolutely no issues returning it, in fact they brought 5 guys out to take it out of the Truck, then had a Sr person guide me through the return process. I spoke with a Traeger Rep at a Costco Road Show and asked if he could sell me a Timberline, and was told no.
Two days later I went to Ace and got a Timberline 1300 (though I do not expect that I would get any customer service, I have spoken to others that purchased there , Ace says call Traeger, they are only a a stock shifting dealer). ..
However I am far happier with the Timberline than the Silverton (though it cost more) .
If you do the "RemE" insulation mod you may be even happier (but you still will need a Fireboard).

Not sure I really want to invest $200 in a fireboard2 and/or $2000 on a Timberline 1300 especially if Traeger doesnt stand behind their product - guess I will have to load it up and take it back to Costco

Traeger stood behind their product , I just ran out of patience.. also costco did not have the 620 available.
I looked at the 2 timberline models and thought for 200 bucks why not go big.... ( the other day I did 8 racks of Ribs....) :>)
