Wanting to install the new wifire option onto an older Traeger

I have an older Traeger grill. I upgraded it a few years ago to the digital thermometer but now I really want the new wifi connected controller. Has anyone been able to modify their old grill with this new accessory? Is Traeger going to come out with n add on so I don't have to buy a new grill to get that feature?

The wifire controller uses different technology than the AC fan and auger motors found in previous systems. Wifi is actually a minor embellishment so far as smoke and temp control (IMO) The new control varies the speed of the auger and fan which have DC drive motors, My favourite feature is the supersmoke. Things will get tighter with each firmware release and possible upgrades in some components. I was told by a Traeger rep that the new controller that shipped this morning will have an updated wifi antenna as well as a later firmware version than I have now.
