I have a Traeger that I got form Home Depot two years ago. It was running along fine and I’ve been happy, but now it suddenly overheats (Temp spikes) and shuts off. I forget the error code, but it’s impossible to use right now. I tried contacting customer service, but it’s a 2 hour wait on hold!?!?!? Is this normal? I checked the BBB and I see a ton of complaints. I found this forum in searching for answers.

Does anyone know how to fix my issue? Also, is customer service as bad as I’ve read about and experienced. 2 hours on hold has me typing this and considering tossing my Traeger in the garbage and getting something different.

If you didn’t own a Traeger what brand of pellet smoker would you own? I looked at the new Weber one as I had one of their gas grills before my Traeger and was happy with it, but the grease fire reports has me looking for something different. I would just buy a new Traeger as I want a bigger one anyways, but if this is their customer service, I’m done with this company. Thanks

I'm having similar issues with my gen 1 Pro34. I have tried for two straight days to get customer service. Really irritating especially with all the money I have invested in this. I'm suffering from the same buyers remorse. Did you get anywhere with customer service?

Customer Support opens at 7AM Mountain - recommend calling at that time, and when given the option for a callback, select that and provide your mobile # ... they will only call once generally, so have your mobile handy and be ready to accept a call ... [email protected] is their email address ...

[email protected] replies with an automated message directing you to their support web page online. That page provides you with the tech support phone number. There is a notice at the bottom of the automated return email that states the email address is not monitored.
Not sure if anyone was successful by emailing directly to that address or not. But indications from the automated return email would indicate you need to phone for help.
Disappointing really.

Thanks the email bounced me to the website and provided same phone number I've been trying.

You're right very disappointing. Hopefully this is COVID related and not the norm.

Patience paid off. After 2 hours fifteen minutes on hold I finally got through. A new RTD and drp tray are on the way. Thanks to all for your feedback.
