Wondering if y’all can help me out. What’s the difference between using the warmer function on the Traeger for the 2 hr brisket rest vs using a warmed cooler?

My initial concern is that the warmer will keep cooking the brisket. But I honestly have no idea if that’s accurate. I also have no idea how hot the “warmed cooler” is.

how do y’all rest brisket?

A 'resting' if done properly and wrapped well will actually keep cooking the meat at the meat's own pace...
IMO the warming mode is for keeping warm... it may dry out or over cook the meat.
What I do tho is I keep the meat ON the grill after doing a "shutdown" mode once it reaches a couple degrees of IT, I see nothing wrong with that 20-25minutes while the grill shuts off... (just don't forget and walk away for an hour)

I only use the keep warm setting if I’m not home and know the meat on the grill is complete, I would rather not keep consuming pellets. A nice trick is to turn your indoor oven to 200 and turn it off once it is almost done pre heating and placing the meat in there wrapped in towels like you would with a cooler
