It appears that Traeger is finally pushing out the next firmware upgrade for the new D2 controllers. The above screenshot was posted by Dave1972 that received the update last night for the Traeger Pro 575. Hopefully this will fix the heat/temperature issues that have been widely reported. Be sure to post in here and let us know your results with the new update!

I turned my 575 on and it was the old version. After a few minutes it updated automatically. My version still shows 1.01.00 but the Config on the D2 controller changed to 4.010. I Set the grill to 180F and it holds at 180F. Cheap oven thermometer says 175F which is close enough. Thank you Traeger,

The version on my Ironwood is still showing v01.01.00, however my config version is 06.005. I've never paid attention to that in the past. What are other Ironwood owners showing?

Just turned mine on to see what I get! Can you just leave it on in sleep mode or do you need to fire it up?

My 575 is now fully updated. Runs and holds at 180F great. Running it up to 400F right now to see how it does at the high end. To get the update, just turn it on and wait. Doesn’t have to be lit. Just power on. Took about 45 min once it was on. Also check the About Grill on the D2 controller display.

Mine is updated as well. Heating to 225 now then I'll run it all the way and see what happens.

Mine has updated. Busy day today so will have to wait till tomorrow try it out.

What were your results at 400? I've got mine hearing to 225 right now.

Ran it up to 400F and my cheapo oven thermometer showed about 375F. I think my grill needs a good cleaning. Will vacuum it out and try again after it has cooled down. I’m thinking that there will be variations depending on where inside the grill you place the extra thermometer. The built in thermocouple may be set for an average temperature. My infrared thermometer showed hotter closer to the chimney...so who knows?

Seems to be steady and close.
