it seems as if my Traeger temp probe even after calibration is always 7-10 out from other methods of temp reading.
I usually use x2 Weber igrill 2 probes and the Traeger and get readings like this:
132f (weber)
135f (Weber
121f (Traeger)
133f (Thermapen mk4)
I go by my hand probe reading as being the most accurate because its good quality.
It seems as the Traeger probe is a bit too long in length? And if inserted not far enough the exposed part of the probe is subject to potentially picking up more on the ambient temps?
I know some may say its not 100% nessesary to use probes and not to worry etc. I dont always however is something I have noticed when I do use the Traeger in conjunction with others its always off the mark.
