When I switch my Traeger (075.04 Texas Elite, bought > 5 years ago) from smoke to 180 degrees, in ~2 minutes the temp goes from 110 to well over 300. (I have video proof, but the file is too large to upload.)
I've recently replaced the hot rod, as before this nothing would burn at all.
My first guess is that the thermometer is broken, as I haven't seen it rise that fast in the 5 plus years I've owned it. Nothing but turning it to shutdown mode stops the rising temperature.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
