Temperature Range

Hello all, I'm new to the Traeger world and am currently using the it to smoke ribs. I am curious what the typical temperature range is when attempting to smoke at 180 degrees. I am seeing a range of 170-200. Is this normal? It is windy 18mph winds and roughly 45 degrees outside in dry high elevation climate.

That's pretty normal for a Traeger. The winds play a part as well.
