Temp - which to believe??

Hi all, my Traeger thermometer reads 215* but I put a grate-level ThermoWorks thermometer in and it reads 250*. Which should I believe for my cook? Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum! Did you happen to calibrate the Traeger thermometer? If not I would probably lean towards believing the ThermoWorks.

If my thermocouple is capable of being calibrated I am not aware of it, only the meat probe has a calibration procedure. I have major issues with the temps on mine and I go with what my Fireboard tells me, which is 20*-30* less than the controller says.
