Big Tex Elite - Silverton 810
So I just purchased a new 810 from Costco this month after cooking on a Big Tex Elite (BBQ075) for 7 years. I have pretty much mastered all meats on the Big Tex but Covid spared my vacation budget this year so I decided to upgrade. After my first 2 cooks, I'm now not sure if it was an upgrade or not due to inconsistent cooking temps across the grill. If you have an interest with my issue, you can find it here. https://www.traegerforum.com/threads/running-below-set-point.1812/

Anyway, the sales people at Costco described the Silverton as a cross between the Ironwood and the Timberline.

Can anyone explain the relationships between the 3 models in terms of likeness/differences?

Thanks
Al

I will give it a try, the silverton has a timberline controller but is not double walled which I think causes the temperature shifts. I had an 810 for 4 months , trying to get CS to resolve the temperature stability issues then took it back to Costco and upgraded to a timberline. There are multiple videos on YouTube that compare and contrast Ironwood and timberline.
