I have a Pro 575. When shutting down from a high temp (400+) is it necessary or recommended to drop the temp first? Or can you just initiate shutdown at any temp?

You can initiate shutdown from whatever temp your cooking at. No need to reduce the setpoint prior to initiating the shutdown mode. Cheers

Thanks, good to know!

It’s also seems shutdown time varies based on the temp of the grill at the time you select to shutdown. Hotter is longer.
