Seasoning new grill

Hi - I will be getting my new Ridgeline series today (it was the one sold on QVC). Do I need to “season” the smoker? My current Bradley was a hand me down and well used. First new smoker.

The new grill should come with instructions for burning off production oils and seasoning the unit. Pretty quick and painless process and gets your feet wet in seeing how things work
