Please help….

This was my husbands second time using it. He was cooking chicken tonight and accidentally put a plastic cooking board in the grill and left it in there. Is it ruined?? Or can we fix it. Please no rude comments, it was a stupid mistake. We burned it off but now there’s this film on the sides of the grill.

It's not ruined. Grids can be replaced (if the plastic does not come off). the the stuff on the side can be scraped off. Not all is lost.

Thats what I thought, we were worried about the lining in the inside to help hold the heat in? I guess I'm not sure if I'm saying that right.

Do you know where we can find a new grid for the 780 pro? We were having a hard time finding one online.

Before you do another food cook, clean it real good like GM said, remove your bad grate, and do another complete seasoning to burn off as much smell as you can.

If it were me I'd run a smoke tube till my inside was coated in good old black smoke instead of plastic.
