Replacement Grill...I can’t win

So...I received my replacement 850 today. Seems the hopper door on this one is won’t even open unless it significantly rubs. Not sure if I should ask them for direction or just burn it in.

Box from FedEx freight did look a little wrinkled. Opposite side does look better.
