So started up the Ironwood today and everything went fine during the seasoning.
D2 temps were either right on or really close to the oven thermometer I put inside in two different places.
But I noticed a pretty big gap on both sides of the hood.
Are any of y’alls like this?

The same with me, my Ironwood also has a crack on the side. But it becomes less if the heat cord becomes a bit smoother.

I didn’t have time to try the smoke setting or super smoke today but will tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

If you have time for me, could you try to set the temperature to 225F and see if Traeger rises to 225F. My Traeger often sticks to +/- 160F and does not want to rise further. Thanks!
Looks like I’m having the same issue.
Set it to 225 and it’s having a hard time getting to 225..

There is definitely something wrong.
Received the beep that the Ironwood had achieved set temp of 225 at 194.

After I hit the Super Smoke button, the temp climbed and has been holding around 218 now for a few minutes.

Maybe enabling super smoke is the trick?
It’s been pretty close since I enabled it.

I've had this happen before as well. Not sure what's going on with that. Glad it came back up to temp! Next time it happens to me, I'll try hitting the super smoke and see if that fixes it.

Spoke to Traeger about the gap on both sides of the lid and they are sending a replacement lid.

Just got an 885. I’m a moron, didn’t see the plastic cover over the thermocouple and didn’t remove it before seasoning. Needless to say it melted. There is still some plastic residue on the probe. Called Traeger and they don’t have replacements available and aren’t sure when they will have some ready.

So if the probe is reading right, then I can hit 500 degrees on mine. Tonight I cooked some brats after work and it went from Ignite to 385 in 10 minutes.

Also have a small gap on the sides of the lid. The Timberline has all sealed edges. The Ironwood is only sealed on the bottom - FYI.
