Timberline 1300
Good morning!

I purchased 1300 Timberline from Ace last Saturday and already cooked with it. Very fun...but the WIFI connection is a total disaster. I found this little black antenna in a separate bag with no instructions. After researching, I discovered it had to be installed under the grill (terrible location for old people). Then after several HOURS of trying to connect it either said no signal or weak signal so I called customer service last night for help after have to register a second time because the gentlemen apparently couldn't find the registration that I had ALREADY completed. After an hour on the phone, my phone DIED and did he call me back to complete the task. Oh no! So I called and it said Traeger is CLOSED! So I have spent another hours trying to connect my Wifi extender to the grill to no avail. Has to be the worst user friendly WIFI I have ever experienced! Any clues?

Resolved by ATT technical support by paring my Rock Space extender with my ATT WIFI modem. Perhaps Traeger can mfg a better stronger antenae someday and put it in a spot where you can see it, and put directions in the little plastic bag indicating it is an antenae that must be installed vs. no directions except on their website. Better yet perhaps Ace Hardware could do that when they assemble the grill in the first place. It would same a lot of aggravation for customers.

I agree, ACE is to blame on this one since they assembled the grill. You're are lucky that you found the antenna! Other's lost theirs.

@RemE and @Jungels ... split your WiFi channels if you haven't already, 2.4Ghz with one SSID and 5Ghz with a different SSID (some individuals use the same name but add "-IoT" to the end of the 2.4Ghz). Connect your grill to 2.4Ghz ... The grill doesn't need the bandwidth of 5Ghz, but most likely needs the signal strength and distance of 2.4Ghz ... switch grill to 2.4Ghz strictly and you will never experience connection issues again.
