I got a 575 only 2weeks old and I am wondering if the fan should stop at times during a cook
it happened 2 times that I know of first time I had it set to 250 fan stopped for about 15 seconds and grill dropped to 160 took about 5 min to recover
2nd time had set to 450 Again fan stopped this time temp went down to 380
only recovered to 430
any one else experience that??

Did you have the door open at all? My 850 will sometimes do this at high Temps when I am searing things and open the door. I do think it's probably normal.

No I didn’t open the door before the fan stopped

OK, but I do think that it's normal. Feeding pellets into a fire while watching the temperature is bound to be a challenge to not have some fluctuations, especially if there are any external factors like direct sun or wind.

Mine 575 does it as well. It will also slow down. Cannot tell you why or when it will happen. But mine maintains temp extremely well!

It's a variable speed motor so it might be running at slow speed and you don't hear it. Mine does this as well.

It’s all good. All part of the new technology in the Traeger controllers. I have a 10 year old Traeger that the fan never stopped. When I bought my Ironwood my heart stopped the first few times that the variable speed fan was silent. I called CS and was educated. Traeger On!
