It seems that it's taking longer & longer to ignite (20-30 min with door closed). I stir the pellets frequently until finally they start smoking. Emptied & put in fresh pellets & made sure the hot box is clean. Any suggestions?

Do you prime your fire pot with the auger??
Are your pellets damp?
My usual is within 3 to 5 minutes

Mine will take anywhere between 7 - 15 mins to reach cooking temp. depending on ambient temperature.
The damp pellets is something that got me with my Pro22. I had them in an outside shed but became damp, you will see a colour change in the pellet.
I never empty my pellets in the auger, I vac out what I can see and leave the rest. If you are cleaning them out they will have to take a while to reach the burner. I start with the lid open until smoke is pouring out then I close. The ignition process is a lot better than the Pro22.

Dry pellets, low humidity, clean, 3-5 minutes every time for me.
