Pellets in fire pot

Had my 575 pro for a few weeks and enjoying it. I vacuumed it out for the first time and noticed a couple pellets in the firepot. Is this normal? I thought the shut down cycle was supposed to prevent this.

It happens. Shutdown cycle doesn’t always get everything. But it does help it from getting clogged up.

My Ironwood 650 always has a few pellets in the pot after its finished. I assumed they were there for the restarting next time. The pellets in there are not burnt or charred at all
