Hi there. I've been smoking with a Masterbuilt electric for about 6 years, and a couple years ago I wanted an upgrade, so I bought a Bradley Smart smoker. Won't get into it here, but what a mistake. I just got a bonus for 2020 and after a bunch of research (including this forum!) decided on the Timberline 1300. It should arrive next week and I can't wait to get cooking!

Welcome! I just got a Traeger for Christmas (Pro 780) and love it! I think you'll like cooking on that Timberline.

I too am new to this community and seems like a good group of people!

Welcome to the forum!

Congrats on the new 1300...
Welcome to the group!

Welcome to the site. Lots of friendly people here. They even accept us Canadians.
Or maybe they just tolerate us. 🤔 lol

Welcome and stick around, you're gonna need this place when you fire up that new T1300!!

Welcome, keep us informed as you move forward.
‘I have aT1300 and love it. But get a Fireboard, you will need it as this is the big boy of Traeger's....

I'm looking at that right now, as a matter of fact. Cheers!

You may be able to buy the Fireboard direct from them in the US, but they assigned a Canadian distributor in Saskatchewan for their product
www.smokerbroker.com
Their flat rate freight sucks. Way too high for what they are shipping most of the time

Flat rate of $20 to ship in Canada. Not great, but not absolutely horrible.

I just paid a flat rate of $40, and I am only one province further than you.
It was pricey for some probes and a magnetic holder
For reference, I am ordering 5 x 30LB bags of pellets from Dickson's BBQ in Ontario and a couple other things, cost is $5.85 to ship all of this

Well, that's interesting. When I was looking this morning, it said $20. I didn't pull the trigger then, and it's now $40. Okay, that's a bit much.

Might be worth a call to them.
That's the only thing I was disappointed in with dealing with them.
