I just wanted to officially introduce myself. I'm in Az, and have owned my Texas Elite 34 for about the past five or six years now. Before owning this grill,...I was all about the propane. So, no smoke for me. It was just straight up grilling and roasting. I had a charcoal/wood smoker that I had bought from Home Depot. I had it for two or three years and had only used it twice, lol. I bought the Traeger, and never looked back. I've probably used it 200-300 times since I've had it,...and i'm not stretching the truth, lol!! I ended up joining this forum, because I'm now in the market for a Timberline 1300. Reviews seem to be mixed, with mostly being positive.
One thing to keep in mind with reviews is you'll definitely see more negative reviews because if everything is working good, people normally don't leave a review. As long as you are buying from a good dealer that will support it, probably not much to worry about. I have a buddy with one and he loves it! At the time I was shopping, it was a little out of my price range and I went with the Ironwood. I'm looking forward to see what Traeger releases next year.
