Smoked 3 times and every time it takes way too long to heat up. My Pro 780 heats up way better. Also there’s a couple wires that cross between the pellet/controller box to the grill that are showing and exposed to the hot grill. Anyone have the same problem?

What is the magnetic stainless steel disc on the right side of the grill lid used for?
where do I insert the temp probe? i thought it may be under the magnetic disc but no.

Same wires here. Same heating issues.
Called support for the 7th time tonight. Spoke to a manager. She wouldn't admit there's a problem, but says wait for a software update. What is it going to fix if this is working correctly? She could give no timeline on when another software update is coming.
I have each cook graphed using the Timberline XL's own data to show the inconsistencies. They have the graphs on their end. I'm sure they know it doesn't work right but can't admit it, which totally sucks as they are shitting on their most enthusiastic users who spent a fortune but ultimately became beta testers.
What I observe the issue to be is that many times the fan does not come on or stay on to raise the temperature when the actual temp is below the target temperature.
See the lag in tonight's cook below.

See the inconsistencies of heat up from a precious cook below:

As can be seen above, the circle labeled 1 shows a 100 degree increase in temperature in 4-5 minutes. Circle labeled 2 shows it then took 21 minutes to increase another 100 degrees, then (Circle 3) the unit took just 7 minutes per 100 degree rise from the 300 degree mark to 450. That is a rate THREE TIMES quicker than from 200 to 300. Circle 4, after a lid closing, shows the temperature plateauing and not heating, actually dropping, despite being set to 500 degrees. How much more evidence of non-responsiveness does there need to be?

Just received my timberline xl yesterday and skipped through the “onboarding process” and called support to figure out manual seasoning process.

Support mentioned recieving a ton of calls about warm up time. Her response was to "pre heat to 165" first. Once pre heated set temp to desired level. I'm honestly not sure how this will impact warm up time but wanted to share.

Also FYI manual seasoning per Traeger is 400 for 45 min. Just as a reference point mine warmed up to 400 in about 45 minutes. Not sure how reasonable that is since I've been using a Webber Smokey Mountain for the past couple of years and this is my first pellet.

Next call the same escalated support department told me there was no need for that.

Curious as a new pellet grill owner what you would think a reasonable warm up time would be. I was expecting about 30 minutes given the size of the unit. Thoughts?

I feel you guys pain. I have the same issue with my 1300, my old pro 34 used to heat up faster. takes forever
