Same wires here. Same heating issues.
Called support for the 7th time tonight. Spoke to a manager. She wouldn't admit there's a problem, but says wait for a software update. What is it going to fix if this is working correctly? She could give no timeline on when another software update is coming.
I have each cook graphed using the Timberline XL's own data to show the inconsistencies. They have the graphs on their end. I'm sure they know it doesn't work right but can't admit it, which totally sucks as they are shitting on their most enthusiastic users who spent a fortune but ultimately became beta testers.
What I observe the issue to be is that many times the fan does not come on or stay on to raise the temperature when the actual temp is below the target temperature.
See the lag in tonight's cook below.
See the inconsistencies of heat up from a precious cook below:
As can be seen above, the circle labeled 1 shows a 100 degree increase in temperature in 4-5 minutes. Circle labeled 2 shows it then took 21 minutes to increase another 100 degrees, then (Circle 3) the unit took just 7 minutes per 100 degree rise from the 300 degree mark to 450. That is a rate THREE TIMES quicker than from 200 to 300. Circle 4, after a lid closing, shows the temperature plateauing and not heating, actually dropping, despite being set to 500 degrees. How much more evidence of non-responsiveness does there need to be?
