Hi everyone,

I got my first smoker this year and have quickly dived into the world of smoking meat. Im looking for advice on making a smoked bbq sauce. I have a abundance of habenaros from my garden and would like to incorporate them. Thank you!

I haven't made any of my own sauce, but I'm certainly interested and hopefully some others can chime in!

Aaron Franklin has a YouTube video that includes making a barbecue sauce...
 
Key to making a smokey sauce is to smoke the vegetables you will use in the sauce. So that would be your peppers and tomatoes. I'd smoke them on the lowest smoke setting for an hour to 90 minutes before adding to the blender with your other ingredients to make the sauce.
