I'm an old fart from a mid size city north of Toronto (home of the Raptors) I've been grilling for years but new to pellet grills I bought a junior from Costco a year ago and I found myself cooking on it every day during decent weather and about every other day when the weather sucks. MY gas grill has been sitting derelict since I bought the Traeger and a Weber Performer. They work well together but propane is a thing of the past,

Thanks for the welcome. I notice all 3 of you have the Ironwood. My Junior is becoming very inadequate fast. I had looked at the Pro22 and the Pro 575 while glancing at the ironwood out of the corner of my eye. I suspect I would be perpetually po'd at my lack of good judgement. I was a refrigeration systems guy for 47 years and specialised in system controls. PLC's as well as dedicated controllers were my strong point, so settling for second place seems blasphemy.

I get my Ironwood 650 next tuesday. Everyone had the Pro but the Ironwood was on back order. I have plans to do most of my cooking (including baking) outside. My wife and family are looking forward to the new acquisition. No more playing at the kids table. The Junior was a good starter but it really felt like the kids table at a family get together.
