Hello all. First post.
I just assembled my grill and discovered that the lid will not completely close leaving about an 1/8" gap at the side and bottom. After some reseach, it seems that his is not an unusual problem with some of these grills. I loosened and then tightened the hinge screws, but that made no difference. I am going to put some insulation,( lava rock) around all corners to see if that will make a tighter seal. I have not even seasoned the grill yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My experience has been that the lid isn't always a tight fit to the tank. I would probably do the seasoning process first and if the gaps are still the same, then apply the Lava Rock. Mine only required an 1/8 strip on the top, the sides fit close enough not to worry about. Hope I have been of some help, welcome to the site, great folks and great recipes.

Thanks.
I contacted CS this morning and they are going to send another lid to me. Hopefully this lid will be a much better fit.

Have Traeger send a new lid and/or hinges. Their support is pretty good if you can be patient.

Update:
I received the lid and hardware from Traeger yesterday. The new lid fits snug and will completely close without any gaps.
Hats off to Traeger for their quick response!

Hats off to you for being patient as well. Glad it worked out.
