I have an Ironwood 885. I’d like to have a little more smoke - is there something I can do to generate more smoke? Smoke Tube?

Thank you. Yes I’m aware of most of what you said. I get good smoke rings So I know it’s getting smoke. I don’t like a heavy smoke flavor but would like more than I’m getting even with super smoke.I'm sure you know this but since you don't post a lot on here, I'm not sure.
Are you using it and not getting enough smoke flavor, or do you feel like you are not seeing as much smoke as you expect. You will never get an intense smoke flavor like you can get out of a stick burner from a pellet grill. Also the temps you cook at have a big impact. If you start off a long cook around 180 or so you will get more smoke flavor. Anything over 225 and the amount of smoke drops. These grills produce a "think blue smoke" which is hard to see, especially compared to a billowing white smoke you might see somewhere else.
My wife and son don't care for a really strong smoke flavor. That is why the pellet grill is perfect for us. Still a great flavor but not so overpowering that half the family won't eat it.
Thank you. Where should I place the tube??You can get huge variety on Amazon, but if you are in a hurry check your local Lowe's:
They even have an adjustable length one:
Opposite end from the pit temp probe. You don't want the smoke tube messing up your pit temp.Thank you. Where should I place the tube??
Thank you. So just add pellets and it does the rest?Opposite end from the pit temp probe. You don't want the smoke tube messing up your pit temp.
Well, you have to lite it, but yeah...Thank you. So just add pellets and it does the rest?
