I bought the new timberline xl. I got two of the MEATER thermometers with the smoker. They connect fine to the Traeger but wanted to use the MEATER app but these won’t connect to the MEATER app. Anyone know why?

I would guess they connect to the Traeger app.

You would think since they’re MEATER they would work on both but who knows.

My guess is only for Timberine XL owners.
Exactly and from what I understand, the old meater probes won’t Connect to the XL.

That’s disappointing, but at least they work with the Traeger xl.

Pretty sad that it only works with the Timberline XL, but I guess that they want to keep that as a feature differentiator even though there probably loads of Traeger customers that have MEATER probes and Blocks.
Personally, I have not used my MEATER except for with SMWBO cooks the Thanksgiving & Christmas turkeys in the oven.
My Fireboard 2 Pro and Spark are doing the most work for me.

I own 2, 1 stopped working properly, the other I don't really have the need to like you... Fireboard takes care of it all.
