I have a Timberline 850 that I have cooked on about 7 times. The 850 has the stainless steel lining all inside. I noticed when I cook on it the shininess starts looking dirty so after each cook I have been cleaning the whole inside down with a good food grade cleaner and have kept the inside of my smoker looking like new.
My friend saw this and told me I should not be doing this. He said I am removing the seasoning that gives everything I cooked a wonderful flavor. So what do I do?
Worry about the inside appearance or let it go. This is my first smoker, I have always cooked on a gas grill and just wire brushed it before and after cooking on it.
Any input would be gratefully appreciated.
Thank You
