There is a sale of Lumberjack BBQ Pellets at Smoke Daddy especially those living in Illinois.

I reached out to them to see if one can stop by and purchase pellets and was informed that they have a deal for 12 (20lb) bags at $125 plus tax. That comes out to about 11 bucks per bag. One can mix and match the following:

Yes they are north but not too far. It will definitely be a small drive (40 miles). I can't justify a pallet since 100 bags is way more that I will every use, not to mention storage.

My local Tractor Supply was out of Bear Mountain so I had to buy 40# bags from Lowes with free delivery of PtBoss.

If you live in the Peoria, IL area, Farm and Fleet in Morton, IL has 8 varieties of LJ pellets for $9.99 each for a 20 lb. bag. That's the normal price. Shipping is over $6 a bag, so not cost effective if you need to have them shipped to you. They also have stores near Chicago, and the pricing is the same.
