I've had good luck using various LJ pellets. This weekend I did a 10 hr (225*) brisket flat and decided to use Mesquite for the first time. Everything turned out fine, but in cleaning out the grill, the fire pot was completely filled to the brim with ash. I always start out with a clean grill and have never had so much, even with longer cook times.
Question: Has anyone else have this happen using Lumber Jack Mesquite pellets?

I just picked up s 40# bags of comp blend of Jumberjack, I haven't used them yet tho and I just topped up my hopper so it may be a bit before I try them. I will report back when I can, I will say I'm looking forward to them tho from all the reviews I've read. Those reviews also said that they do produce a bit more ash however....

I've used that blend a lot with good success. You wont be disappointed. My concern is the mesquite. FWIW....
